Bridgeway Recalls 91,000 “Power X” Bicycles Sold At Wal-Mart

Posted in Community Service, Product Liability

Children’s bicycles manufactured with inadequate or substandard materials may inadvertently cause extensive injury or death to your children, says Alabama liability attorney Keith T. Belt .

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Bridgeway International of Naples, Florida, announced a voluntary recall of 91,000 NEXT -branded men’s 26-inch hybrid bicycles manufactured in China. The bicycle chain can break, causing a rider to lose control and fall, which has occurred in 11 reported incidents, including nine reports of injuries, including lacerations and contusions.

This recall involves “NEXT”-branded men’s 26-inch hybrid bicycles, which are red or orange. “Power X” and “Suspension” are printed on the frame. Model numbers LBH2611M and LBH2611M2 are included in this recall and the number is located on the frame between the pedals.
