Drew Barnett was born and raised in Florence, Alabama. Mr. Barnett maintains a statewide practice, representing accident victims in cases involving workplace and industrial accidents, dangerous and defective products, eighteen-wheeler and automotive accidents, and medical malpractice that result in personal injury and/or wrongful death. During his career, Mr. Barnett has served as lead and/or co-counsel on a variety of cases resulting in substantial settlements and verdicts, including multiple six-figure confidential settlements and notable judgments of $15 million and $5 million in his first two years of practice.
Mr. Barnett received a B.S. in Economics, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2009 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2012. While in law school, Mr. Barnett was a member of the school’s national trial advocacy team and was awarded the George Peach Taylor Award for excellence in trial advocacy. Mr. Barnett was also inducted in the Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society and elected Secretary of the Student Bar Association.

Mr. Barnett is licensed to practice law in all Alabama state courts. Mr. Barnett is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts in the State of Alabama.
Mr. Barnett was admitted to the Alabama Bar in September 2012. Upon his admission to the Bar, Mr. Barnett began working with a Birmingham personal injury firm and obtained favorable jury verdicts for his clients in every case he tried. Mr. Barnett joined Belt & Bruner, P.C., in September 2014.
Mr. Barnett is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Alabama Association of Justice.
Mr. Barnett sits on the Board of Directors for CASA of Jefferson County, Alabama, a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to ensure that abused and neglected children in Birmingham area have a competent and caring advocate by their side throughout legal proceedings and home relocation.
Mr. Barnett is an avid outdoorsman and particularly enjoys upland hunting, sporting clays, and training bird dogs, including his Brittany Spaniel.
